Norbert Leinfellner

Vice President Engineering / INOGEN

Norbert has a long history of passionately implementing cultural change, engineering excellence, and project management capabilities at medical device companies which are increasingly challenged to deliver value in a rapidly changing market. The cornerstones of such a cultural change include the implementation of effective project and portfolio management and the transformation to a matrix organization that promotes ownership, transparency, and clear roles & responsibilities. Norbert has developed and applied a number of leadership frameworks tailored to the needs of his past roles at companies like Element Science, Fresenius Medical Care, Carl Zeiss Medical Technology, to name a few. Norbert holds a PhD in Physics from Technical University Graz, Austria. During his spare time, Norbert enjoys running marathons all over the world and runs trails on the Pacific Coast and in the Sierra Nevada. He has also completed many ultra-marathons, some of them a hundred miles long.
